Informed Consensus:
Our major engagement approach we call “Informed Consensus”. This is a process for reaching mutual agreement over contentious issues through applying a robust, principle-based approach to multi-party negotiations.
Informed Consensus incorporates the fundamentals of multi-party mediation, interest-based negotiation, public participation theory and excellent communication. It has proven successful in both developing-country and western settings, giving testimony to the strength of its underpinning principles. Informed Consensus processes stand up very well to external scrutiny because they incorporate independent facilitation, verification, reporting and financial accountability. |
