It is a corollary of our stakeholder engagement work that we understand the impact that major projects can have on their host communities. Consequently, we are well placed to undertake authoritative assessments of social impact and are frequently called on to provide expert witness testimony on social issues.
In undertaking social impact assessment, we adopt the International Association for Impact Assessment’s (IAIA) International Principles for Social Impact Assessment and our practitioners must have committed to the IAIA Code of Ethics. Our social impact assessments are always underpinned by extensive qualitative research through interviews and focus groups. Where appropriate and where budgets allow, we also commission quantitative research to increase the veracity and acuity to our analysis. |
