Tim, an OfforSharp founder, primarily works in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution and social research. The core value Tim brings to OfforSharp is his experience working across both community and corporate sectors, and as an experienced mediator. Prior to setting up OfforSharp, Tim managed a number of not-for-profit organisations focused on community-based environmental initiatives. His education spans veterinary science, plant ecology and conflict resolution. |

Barbara, an OfforSharp founder, is a communication specialist. From a career beginning as a journalist, she brings to our clients nearly twenty years’ experience in advising ministers, governments, statutory bodies and major international and national corporations on how to prepare for and handle issues of major public impact. |

Zena Helman, Associate: Environmental specialist
Zena is director of Helman Consulting. She has extensive experience in environmental management and planning in both the public and private sectors. Her experience as an environmental consultant includes working as a senior consultant in a number of companies, and as a solo practitioner. She has worked in the public sector in Victoria, where her experience included policy development and planning. She is certified as a Lead Environmental Auditor by RABQSA and acts as an EMS Technical Specialist and Lead Auditor for JAS-ANZ. |

Dr Lucy Healy, Associate: Anthropologist
Lucy is a social anthropologist with expertise in applied and academic social research, community consultation, community development and evaluation. She has worked and collaborated with numerous local community agencies, communities, government departments and local councils in research and consultancy projects concerning community development, poverty, gender and development and volunteering. She has extensive practical experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds. |

Matt Boland, Associate: Government relations
Matt’s experience in the public sector spans 30 years, coming to the OfforSharp team from the Bracks Government, where he was chief-of-staff for the Minister for Education, Planning, Arts and Women’s Affairs. He brings impeccable knowledge of the policy and political environment for Victoria and a highly credible and trusted reputation with key government personnel and has a strong track record as a strategic thinker and problem-solver. |

Alex McNaughton, Population Census and Survey Specialist
Alex is a specialist in the conduct of population censuses and surveys. After a career spanning almost 30 years with the Australian Bureau of Statistics, he is now consulting in the design and conduct of population and social surveys in the Asia Pacific region. His most recent assignments have been with the 2006 PNG Demographic and Health Survey and 2004 East Timor National Census. Alex is presently engaged as Census Advisor for OfforSharp’s contract with Ok Tedi Mining Ltd to conduct a social and demographic survey of the 152 villages within the mine’s impact area. |
